Projection Sends Tennessee to a First-Round Playoff Game at the Rose Bowl

Tennessee's win over Alabama has started showing up in College Football Playoff projections in a glamorous place. One projection now has the Volunteers playing a first-round playoff game at the Rose Bowl.

Simply landing in the projected field reflects how much Saturday changed Tennessee's season. A first-round date in Pasadena would put the Vols on one of the sport's most famous stages with a chance to advance in the playoff, the kind of scenario that was difficult to picture before the Alabama game.
