Game day in Knoxville: Tennessee and Alabama meet on the Third Saturday in October

The Third Saturday in October arrived in Knoxville with Tennessee and Alabama set for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff on ABC, and Rocky Top Talk opened its doors for the occasion, launching a live game thread for Vol fans to follow along together.

The thread served as the community's running conversation for the rivalry game, hosted on The Feed, with fans invited to post throughout the afternoon as the latest edition of one of college football's storied series unfolded.

There was no team news in it — that was never the point. The thread was the gathering place for a fan base that knows exactly what this game means, on the day Tennessee hosted Alabama in one of the season's marquee matchups.
